Special Education Teacher in Bensalem, PA

Essential Qualifications:

• Active Instructional I or II Pennsylvania Certification in K-12 Special Education
• Emergency certificates will be considered for experienced, well-qualified candidates
• Prior experience at the secondary level is highly desirable
• Strong instructional skills and ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students in grades 7-12
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum materials and modify classroom activities to meet student goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
• Foster independence, confidence, and academic growth
• Encourage positive behavior management and social-emotional development
