This full-time, direct hire position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the 2024-2025 school year. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction to a caseload of Kindergarten and 1st grade students within an SDC classroom.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs.
  • Adapt lesson plans and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility and student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and other support staff.
  • Offer both academic and social-emotional support to students, fostering growth and self-confidence.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance in accordance with federal and state special education requirements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active California Special Education teaching credential (required).
  • Previous experience in SDC settings is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to connect with students, families, and fellow educators.
  • Proven classroom management techniques and a passion for supporting student success.
