These openings will be spread across various grade levels from PreK through 12th grade, offering a blend of flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact in diverse school communities. Desired Credentials & Experience:
- Hold a valid California teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience with Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe), or Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
- Collaborative approach to working with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
- Strong understanding of IEP development, case management, and compliance documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience in urban or culturally diverse schools is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral supports for students with disabilities
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Employ a variety of strategies to reach diverse learners
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administrators regarding student progress
- Participate in ongoing professional learning and district initiatives
- Support transition planning and social-emotional growth for students
