This role is structured for work-life balance, with your hours set Monday through Thursday, 7:30am–4:30pm. You'll partner with general education teachers, provide accommodations, and help shape instruction that empowers high school students to achieve their goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for high school level
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a resource or inclusive setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Skilled in collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy abilities
- Passion for fostering growth and independence among diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver push-in resource support for high school students within classroom environments
- Adapt curriculum and instruction in partnership with classroom teachers and support staff
- Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP meetings, planning, and documentation
- Use data-driven strategies to address student needs and learning targets
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students, fostering a culture of inclusion and respect
- Provide feedback and consultation to faculty regarding effective accommodations
