This contract position begins August 21st, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4 pm.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) certification, covering grades 9-12
• Prior experience or passion for working in high school special education settings
• A strong commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive classroom practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Adaptability and problem-solving mindset in supporting diverse learner needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique strengths and challenges
• Providing direct instruction and support in both individual and small group settings
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success and inclusion
• Monitoring student progress, collecting data, and adapting teaching strategies as needed
• Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to all state and federal special education regulations
• Fostering a safe, encouraging classroom environment that promotes self-confidence and life skills
