Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting 4th and 5th grade students as a Special Education Teacher this fall. This full-time assignment offers an impactful role at an intermediate resource classroom, serving a small caseload of 8-10 students and providing both push-in and pull-out instruction for ELA and Math. This contract position begins August 14 and is expected to continue through the end of September, covering an FMLA leave with potential for extension.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid LBS1 and PEL certification required (please attach a screenshot of your license as a blank page at the end of your resume).
  • Experience working with elementary-age students with varying academic and behavioral needs.
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, modifications, and accommodations.
  • Confidence in delivering individualized and small-group instruction.
  • Comfortable collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents.
  • Dedication to fostering inclusion and positive outcomes for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver push-in and pull-out specialized instruction in ELA and Math to support students’ individual goals.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with IEP requirements.
  • Partner with classroom teachers to align instructional strategies and supports.
  • Maintain communication with families regarding student progress and needs.
  • Create a nurturing, engaging, and structured learning environment for 4th and 5th graders.
