Special Education Teacher in Berwyn, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach three inclusion classes and two resource classes to high school students with diverse needs
• Manage your own caseload: prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), complete necessary documentation, monitor student progress, and actively participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with a Case Manager and multidisciplinary team
• Maintain clear, empathetic communication with students, staff, and families

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsements
• Previous experience or strong interest in working with high school students in a special education setting
