Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience or coursework in elementary (K-3) special education preferred
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with young learners
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with staff and families
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and legal guidelines in special education

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to 7 self-contained students and 2 students receiving pull-out services
• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans based on individual needs and IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to each student’s strengths and abilities
• Monitor progress, assess learning, and document outcomes
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that encourages growth and engagement
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
