Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Connecticut State Certificate for Special Education Teaching
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, with strong instructional skills

• Strong communication capabilities with students, families, and team members

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and targeted interventions aligned with students’ IEPs
• Work hand-in-hand with a paraeducator in the classroom to maximize individualized learning
• Develop, modify, and implement lesson plans that address diverse learning needs
• Monitor, track, and report on student progress; participate in IEP meetings
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
• Engage with parents, guardians, and other professionals to support student outcomes
