Desired qualifications and experience:

  • State certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Proven experience delivering instruction and support in a resource classroom setting
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families

  • Strong classroom management abilities
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
  • Deliver targeted instruction in resource or small group settings for middle school learners
  • Track and report on student progress, modifying approaches as needed
  • Partner with general education teachers to support classroom integration and accommodations
  • Communicate with parents/guardians to promote student growth and success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
