Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Special Education teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience in a K-12 special education setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Adaptable, compassionate, and organized approach to teaching

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction according to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and progress
• Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, service providers, and families to meet student needs
• Maintain accurate and complete student records and documentation
• Employ effective classroom management techniques tailored for diverse learners
• Participate in IEP meetings, ongoing student assessments, and school meetings as required
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
