Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Alabama Professional Certificate.
  • Compliance with Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in self-contained and/or resource settings is highly valued.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs.
  • Develop creative lesson plans to engage students with diverse needs.
  • Assess academic and behavioral progress, documenting and reporting as required.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
  • Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, helping set attainable goals and monitor progress.
  • Create a classroom environment where students feel respected, empowered, and motivated to achieve their best.
