This rewarding contract opportunity spans from August 4, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and offers two open positions with a full-time, onsite schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

You’ll work directly with elementary and intermediate school students, helping foster inclusion and growth in each learning setting. There is one inclusion position available at an elementary school, ideal for those passionate about integrating students into the general education classroom. Additionally, two self-contained classroom positions await at an intermediate level, perfect for educators experienced in providing individualized support to students with diverse needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) license (can be verified at the Alabama Department of Education website)
  • K-6 SPED certification required for the inclusion opening
  • 6-12 or K-6 SPED certification applicable for self-contained roles
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and differentiated instruction
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create a positive, structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
