Soliant is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers for full-time, school-based positions in the Birmingham, Alabama area for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to helping students with diverse learning needs succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially within an inclusive educational environment.

This Special Education Teacher position offers the opportunity to collaborate with students, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to provide individualized instruction and support. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while fostering student growth and achievement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide specialized instruction to students receiving Special Education services.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Utilize assessment data to guide instructional planning and student interventions.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional development.

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama Special Education Teaching Certificate required.
• Soliant offers Licensing Assistance for qualified candidates.
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of IEP development, Special Education compliance, and differentiated instruction.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of Special Education instructional practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary educational teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
