Qualifications
- Valid Special Education (SPED) certification for Alabama
- Experience working with students in grades 3-6, preferably in a self-contained classroom
- Ability to collaborate with support staff and adapt to a dynamic caseload
- Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction
- Willingness to work onsite and complete any required local interviews
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction for a caseload of 5-8 students
- Collaborate with 1-2 classroom aides to provide effective support
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation
- Foster a positive and structured learning environment
- Communicate regularly with staff, students, and families
