Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Certification (SPED Cert, K–6)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably as a Resource Teacher
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
  • Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Positive, flexible, and compassionate approach to teaching

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction to a caseload of 10–12 students in a resource setting
  • Develop, update, and implement IEPs in coordination with staff and families
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
  • Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Engage with families and encourage student growth
