Your responsibilities will include implementing individualized education plans, fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment, and ensuring the unique needs of each student are met in both elementary and middle school classrooms. You’ll have resources at your fingertips with classroom assistance from teaching assistants and behavior technicians, so you can focus on making a meaningful impact each day.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid credentials to serve as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with students who have mild behavioral needs or require structured academic support
• Ability to assist students with toileting; comfortable with direct support
• Compassion for students with varying abilities and an adaptable teaching style
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work alongside teaching assistants and related professionals

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

• Providing instruction and differentiated support to small caseloads (6 elementary and 11 middle school students)
• Partnering in a co-teaching environment for middle school, with focus on student-centered engagement
• Assisting with toileting as needed for select students and monitoring one student’s feeding tube as necessary (training provided)
• Utilizing the dedicated classroom support of teaching assistants and behavior technicians
• Documenting progress, collaborating on IEPs, and fostering social-emotional growth
