Special Education Teacher - Blackstone, VA

This opportunity spans both primary and middle school settings, focusing on elementary students in grades 3-4 and middle school students in grades 7-8, each with small caseloads to maximize individualized instruction.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher credential required
• Experience or strong interest in co-teaching models
• Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs

Position Details & Responsibilities:

• Serve onsite during the academic calendar (August 19, 2026 – June 4, 2027), full-time (37.5 hours weekly)
• Work closely with grade-level teachers to co-deliver instruction in core subjects
• Support and instruct small groups of students (less than 10 per classroom), enabling targeted interventions
• Monitor and document student progress; update goals and IEPs as needed
• Engage with parents and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
• Incorporate evidence-based strategies and classroom technology
