Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time role supports 1st and 2nd grade students, providing vital instructional and emotional support within an elementary school environment. Starting in August 2026 through June 2027, you’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference every day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for endorsement)
  • Proven success working with elementary-grade students, particularly in special education settings
  • Strong classroom management, individualized instruction, and progress monitoring skills
  • Familiarity with IEP development, goal tracking, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional communication skills to facilitate partnerships with school staff, students, and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and assess individualized education programs for 1st and 2nd grade students
  • Adapt lesson plans and modify curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote student growth academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Conduct ongoing assessments, attend IEP meetings, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, service providers, and families to ensure holistic student support
