This position offers two rewarding roles: lead a mild intervention K-2 classroom of 8-10 students at the elementary level, or teach in a middle school class focused on intense interventions with a group of 8 students. Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with mild to intense learning and behavioral exceptionalities
  • Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
  • Ability to implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective communication with students, staff, and families
  • Passion for promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction tailored to student needs in a self-contained classroom setting
  • Use evidence-based practices to support student growth, both academically and emotionally
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and administration
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers to support student success
  • Adapt teaching approaches as necessary for diverse learning styles
