Two exciting contract opportunities are available, starting August 3, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027, working 37.5 hours per week on-site. These roles are within a vibrant educational community near Bluffton, SC, offering varied experiences across grade levels and specializations.
Position 1 involves working with elementary or early childhood students, tailoring educational strategies to meet their unique learning needs in a nurturing setting. Position 2 focuses on high school students with multiple exceptionalities, where your multi-categorical expertise will be instrumental in fostering academic growth and independence.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific or reciprocal)
- Proven experience teaching students with exceptionalities
- Deep understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementation
- Commitment to differentiated instruction and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Adaptability within dynamic school settings
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans
- Engage in meaningful collaboration with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Maintain documentation and thorough records aligned with district and state guidelines
- Support students’ social-emotional and academic growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
