Special Education Teacher - Bluffton, South Carolina

This contract opportunity offers three onsite positions—two Supplemental (Resource) teachers at middle and high school levels, and one Intensive Support role at the elementary level. Each placement provides valuable experience with a collaborative educational team in a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility) for South Carolina
• Prior experience working with students in special education, including those requiring intensive support or resource services
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff
• Organizational skills to track and document student progress and IEP compliance
• Adaptability and compassion for meeting diverse learner needs

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and behavior strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
• Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school community
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal teaching standards

This contract begins August 3, 2026, and concludes May 28, 2027, offering 37.5 hours per week onsite.
