Special Education Teacher in Bluffton, SC

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Strong understanding of diverse learning styles and instructional strategies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to new environments and integrate quickly with school staff
• Previous contract or travel teaching experience is a plus but not required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans in accordance with each student's IEP
• Track and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed
• Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive approach to support
• Engage families in the educational planning process, providing regular updates and recommendations
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate through professional conduct and advocacy for students with special needs
