Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary-aged students with diverse needs in a self-contained Life Skills classroom. The role is conveniently scheduled from 7:30/7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

As a key member of the team, you’ll guide and inspire students with varied abilities across grades EC-6, fostering growth in academic, social, and functional skills. Collaboration is central—you’ll participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, contributing to individualized education planning and supporting positive outcomes for learners.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Educator License with EC-6 Special Education Endorsement
• Direct experience teaching special education at the elementary level
• Demonstrated participation in ARD meetings
• Commitment to adhering to professional dress code standards (including professional attire, natural hair colors, tattoos covered, and minimal piercings)
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a passion for helping all students succeed

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction within a self-contained classroom to meet students’ individualized educational needs
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Attend, participate in, and contribute to ARD meetings and IEP processes
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation on student progress
• Collaborate closely with related service providers, general education teachers, and families
• Create a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment conducive to learning
