As a Special Education Teacher working with a small, self-contained classroom, you’ll provide hands-on, individualized support, beginning with just two students and expanding to five as the program develops. Your expertise will not only help your students thrive but will also serve as a critical resource for General Education staff, fostering collaboration and inclusivity within the school community.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas Educator License with EC-6 Special Education Endorsement
• Demonstrated ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meeting experience and confidence in actively participating
• Familiarity with Unique Learning System, eSped, and SymbolStix preferred
• Ability to provide your own laptop for daily instruction and documentation
• Commitment to upholding professional dress standards, including no tattoos showing, single color hair, and limited earrings

Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to students with a range of abilities in a self-contained Life Skills classroom (grades EC-6)
• Bridge instructional gaps to support Gen Ed staff and promote student success across settings
• Plan, prepare, and adapt materials using specialized curricula and online systems
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and related service providers
• Attend and participate in ARD meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of IEPs
• Model and maintain a supportive, respectful, and safe learning environment for all
