Special Education Teacher - Bolingbrook, IL

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience or strong interest working with elementary school students
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to create a nurturing and structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to meet individual learning needs in Kindergarten or 1st Grade
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and support staff
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere to promote academic and social development
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and therapists
• Employ positive behavioral supports and classroom management strategies
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
