Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience or strong interest working with elementary school students
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to create a nurturing and structured classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet individual learning needs in Kindergarten or 1st Grade
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and support staff
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere to promote academic and social development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and therapists
- Employ positive behavioral supports and classroom management strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
