Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for Illinois
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Compassionate, resourceful, and adaptable to diverse learning needs
• Experience with various disabilities and instructional strategies preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and assess individualized lesson plans to support students’ academic and social growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Utilize evidence-based interventions tailored to unique learning needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional insight and documentation
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
• Communicate progress and strategies with students and parents regularly
