Your classroom will focus on 3 kindergarteners and 2 first-graders in a self-contained instructional setting, set apart from multi-needs classrooms. Remote or hybrid roles are not available for this position.

You’ll thrive as part of a collaborative and highly supportive team, including instructional-level, multi-needs, and resource-level special education teaching partners, along with paraeducator support and plentiful instructional materials. This network ensures you have guidance, backup, and resources every step of the way.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state
  • Experience or passion for working with early elementary students in special education
  • Solid understanding of instructional strategies for self-contained settings
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to onsite teaching; no remote or hybrid work arrangements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to support diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate closely with teaching partners, paraeducators, and related services staff
  • Engage in regular communication with families to foster student success
  • Maintain organized records and uphold compliance with IDEA and other regulations
