Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active 461 endorsement required
• Certification in Comprehensive and Mild/Moderate or Intervention
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
• Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students with a variety of learning needs, ensuring each student’s IEP goals are addressed
• Develop lesson plans that accommodate a range of learning styles and support student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state policies
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices
