Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for Tennessee
- Demonstrated experience working with 9th–12th grade students, particularly those with diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Organization and adaptability to manage a small caseload and tailor instructional strategies
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to 9th–12th grade students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation of student progress and goals
- Partner with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place
- Attend virtual or in-person meetings and communicate regularly with stakeholders to review student progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes student independence and confidence
Position Details:
- Serve 1–3 students each week, focusing on quality over quantity
