Special Education Teacher in Bonner Springs, KS

Positions are full-time onsite, with 37.5 hours per week during the academic year.

Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Special Education Teaching Certification (SPED Cert in KS required)
• Background in either elementary or secondary education, or both
• Experience supporting diverse learners, including those in resource and/or self-contained settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
• Ability to plan and adapt lessons for varying educational needs

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop lesson plans tailored to student abilities and educational goals
• Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom atmosphere
