Available positions include:

  • High School Inclusion Teacher: Facilitate the integration of students with special needs into general education classrooms, collaborating closely with content teachers.
  • Resource Teacher with Autism focus (K-8 Grammar School): Deliver targeted support and individualized instruction to students with autism, working in a resource room environment.
  • 4th Grade Resource Classroom Teacher: Provide tailored educational support to 4th graders, fostering academic growth and personal development.

Your skills and experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral management techniques
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt lesson plans to meet each child’s unique needs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with general education staff and families to support each student’s learning goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning
