Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Massachusetts Severe Disabilities Special Education certification (Moderate/Severe)
  • Experience teaching in substantially separate or intensive special education classrooms is preferred
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent classroom management and individualized instructional abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs for students with severe disabilities in the ABLES Program
  • Adapt lessons to meet unique learning needs, using evidence-based instructional strategies
  • Collaborate with therapists, administrators, and families to create cohesive support plans
  • Foster a positive classroom climate that prioritizes student growth, safety, and engagement
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
