Special Education Teacher | Boston, Massachusetts

Make a difference as a dedicated Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in a self-contained classroom environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 25, 2026, through June 2027 and offers the chance to work closely with a small group of students (5-8), ranging from pre-kindergarten to second grade, with severe, multiple, physical, medical, and global developmental delays. You’ll deliver meaningful instruction and compassionate care, including full personal support such as diaper changing and hygiene assistance, ensuring your students receive the guidance and nurturing they need to thrive.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active Massachusetts Special Education License required
• Experience serving early elementary or preschool-aged children (PK–2 preferred)
• Background working with students with significant needs: severe, multiple, physical, and medical disabilities
• Comfortable providing full personal care (diaper changing, feeding, hygiene)
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and specialist staff
• Flexible, patient, and passionate about supporting diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and implement individualized educational programs to boost academic, social, and life skills development
• Deliver direct instruction in all core subjects within a self-contained classroom setting
• Provide comprehensive personal care and implement therapeutic interventions as needed
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for every student
• Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation for IEP compliance
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to maximize student growth

This role offers W-2 employment, weekly pay, benefits, and 401k participation. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, totaling 35 hours per week, allowing for a strong work/life balance.
