Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education, or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with students with disabilities or learning differences
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a commitment to differentiated instruction
- Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and adapt lesson plans tailored to meet individual student needs and learning styles
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and staff
- Provide direct instruction, both in small groups and individually
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
- Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Support student social, emotional, and behavioral growth throughout the school day
