Bring your skills and passion to a collaborative team that includes paraeducators, BCBA, speech-language pathologist, occupational and physical therapists, plus school psychology and social work support. You’ll work onsite, providing instruction and individualized support to a group of 10 students, with peer mentors enhancing the inclusive, community-centered classroom approach.
Qualifications:
- Active (or in-process) CDE license required; be ready to provide documentation with your application
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience, specifically in special education
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; flexible team player who thrives in dynamic settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver meaningful instruction and adapt curriculum to fit individualized student needs
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to implement IEPs and behavioral interventions
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom that promotes student growth, using evidence-based strategies
- Support paraeducators and peer mentors to ensure every student receives optimal guidance
- Regularly assess and document student progress, maintaining clear communication with colleagues and families
