Special Education Teacher | Boulder, Colorado

This contract opportunity focuses on working with 18- to 21-year-old special education students, fostering valuable life and job skills both in the classroom and the broader community. The role is full-time, based onsite, and offers the chance to guide a caseload of up to 12 students at a specialized transitions center.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of classroom experience required
• Must be a team player with a flexible, collaborative approach
• Current or in-process CDE license (must submit a copy with your resume)
• Experience with IEP development and implementation strongly preferred
• Comfortable collecting data and writing Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach job readiness and daily living skills in classroom and community settings from 8 AM – 4 PM
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs for students, maintaining compliance and best practices
• Track progress via data collection for continuous student growth
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages independence
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and outside partners to ensure robust programming
