Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) in the state of Colorado
- Proven ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Background in differentiated instruction and classroom management
- Excellent collaboration skills for partnering with general education staff, parents, and support teams
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs, both in group and individualized settings
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote growth and achievement
- Track student progress, provide regular updates, and adjust strategies as needed
- Foster a positive classroom climate that encourages student engagement, self-advocacy, and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all state and federal guidelines relating to special education services
