Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction focusing on functional academics, daily living skills, personal independence, and community involvement for high school students.
• Manage the specialized classroom environment, providing clear direction for paraprofessionals supporting the program.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with strong attention to functional goals and post-secondary transition planning.
• Foster a supportive, structured environment that promotes growth, engagement, and skill development for students with significant needs.

Qualifications:

• Active State Special Education Teaching License required.
• Demonstrated experience managing a high school Life Skills or similar self-contained special education program.
• Strong background in transition planning for high school-aged students and adaptive care practices.
• Effective communication, organization, and team leadership abilities.
