Special Education Teacher - Boyd, Texas

What you'll bring:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience delivering behavioral support and/or life skills instruction
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs
• Skill in working with small caseloads (4-5 students), fostering an encouraging classroom environment
• Experience in a school-based or similar educational setting preferred
• Flexibility to work in both elementary and intermediate grade levels is highly desirable

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing specialized instruction to students in K-2 or 3rd-5th grade, depending on assignment
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Maintaining detailed records in compliance with school and district policies
• Supporting students with behavioral needs and/or life skills, adapting strategies as necessary
• For candidates open to multiple roles, the opportunity to transition from a behavioral-focused caseload to a high school life skills program (Role C) in November, with the possibility of an assignment through the end of the school year
