What you’ll bring:

  • Valid Special Education teaching license for K-5 grades
  • Experience or deep interest in working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and compliance
  • Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for team and family collaboration
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for inclusive education

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating instructional programs for special education in an elementary setting
  • Developing, reviewing, and revising IEPs in partnership with families and staff
  • Providing direct individualized and small group instruction for students with exceptionalities
  • Coaching and supporting paraprofessionals, ensuring consistency and quality in support services
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
  • Working as a collaborative resource for colleagues, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture
