Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License
  • Prior experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Adaptability and creativity in differentiating instruction
  • Adept at building positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ individual learning goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for effective inclusion
  • Develop, monitor, and document progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adjust teaching strategies to meet a range of academic and behavioral needs
  • Provide direct instruction in both small-group and one-on-one settings
  • Partner with families to foster consistent support for students’ growth
  • Ensure compliance with all special education policies, procedures, and timelines
