Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Severe Disabilities Special Education certification (Moderate/Severe) required
  • Prior experience in substantially separate or intensive special education classrooms is highly preferred
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Exceptional classroom management abilities and familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on IEPs in the ABLES program
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to support students with severe and complex needs
  • Implement positive behavior supports and specialized teaching techniques
  • Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education staff
  • Maintain detailed progress documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Foster engagement, encouragement, and growth for students and their families
