Special Education Teacher - Brandon, Mississippi

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one in Mississippi
• Demonstrated understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Experience adapting curriculum and instruction for diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage classrooms and maintain positive student engagement

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) according to student needs and state regulations
• Modify instructional materials and strategies, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all learners
• Assess and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment working closely with general education teachers, staff, and families
• Provide direct instruction and support to students across a range of abilities and backgrounds
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress and goals
