Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Special Education License with one or more of the following endorsements: 459, 465, 468, 2000, or 2001
• Candidates holding a TN SPED endorsement may have the option to add a PreK endorsement by successfully completing the appropriate Praxis exam; cost coverage for this exam is offered for strong applicants
• Experience working with PreK or early elementary special education populations is highly desirable
• A collaborative spirit and dedication to fostering student success in inclusive settings

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction for PreK students with diverse learning and developmental needs, following IEPs and adapting curriculum as necessary
• Assess and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and district requirements
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create cohesive educational plans and ensure positive learning experiences
• Engage with families, sharing progress and strategies for continued growth at home and in the classroom
• Uphold a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment conducive to each child’s academic and social development

This full-time, onsite contract position offers you the opportunity to make a real difference for young learners at a pivotal stage in their educational journey. You’ll work weekdays from 7:45AM to 3:15PM, ensuring a consistent routine for both you and your students, with the school year spanning from August 2026 to May 2027.
