Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and behavior intervention plans as part of a collaborative team.
- Foster a safe, structured classroom that encourages positive behavior and student independence.
- Track student progress, maintaining documentation and adapting strategies for continued growth.
- Partner with families, classroom staff, and support professionals to maximize student achievement.
- Guide paraprofessionals to ensure consistent support and intervention for every learner.
- Support crisis prevention and intervention in line with school safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license or equivalent state certification.
- Experience supporting students with disabilities or diverse learning/behavioral needs.
- Proficiency in IEP development and progress monitoring.
- Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions and classroom management.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment.
