Make a positive impact in elementary education as a part-time Special Education Teacher, supporting students in Grades K–5 in a resource pull-out classroom setting. Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid 165 or 165 CT Special Education PK-12 license (DSAP licenses not accepted)
  • Demonstrate strong experience with elementary-age students (K–5)
  • Background in special education resource or pull-out settings preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to create, implement, and adapt individualized education plans to meet diverse learning needs
  • Passion for shaping a nurturing, inclusive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction in a pull-out/resource setting for K–5 students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction based on data and observation
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and progress
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
