Special Education Teacher in Bridgeport, CT

Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will allow you to make a real impact between August 25, 2026 (or as soon as you're available), and June 7, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Connecticut teaching license with 165 or 265 Special Education Certification
• Previous experience supporting students in resource settings, especially with push in/pull out models
• Confidence leading small groups and providing individualized instruction
• Strong collaboration skills for working alongside general education teachers and support staff
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver both pull-out and occasional push-in instruction to students receiving special education services
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to support IEP goals within small group sessions
• Monitor student progress, adapting instruction as needed to ensure success
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families, teachers, and student support teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state requirements
