You’ll enjoy a steady weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 3:45 pm with a 30-minute lunch break—offering balance and structure to your week. Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will allow you to make a real impact between August 25, 2026 (or as soon as you're available), and June 7, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Connecticut teaching license with 165 or 265 Special Education Certification
- Previous experience supporting students in resource settings, especially with push in/pull out models
- Confidence leading small groups and providing individualized instruction
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside general education teachers and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver both pull-out and occasional push-in instruction to students receiving special education services
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support IEP goals within small group sessions
- Monitor student progress, adapting instruction as needed to ensure success
- Communicate regularly and effectively with families, teachers, and student support teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state requirements
