What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience or strong interest in working with grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with general educators, families, and support staff
- Adaptability with classroom management and differentiated instruction
- Dedication to creating nurturing and inclusive classroom environments
- Ability to track student progress and tailor instruction as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction individually and in small groups to students with varying abilities
- Assess student needs and create tailored learning objectives
- Write and implement IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Communicate progress and goals with families and staff
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and accommodations to maximize student engagement and success
- Uphold all state regulations and school policies relevant to special education
