Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for grades K-5, 6-8, or 9-12
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavioral strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to various classroom assignments and build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Previous experience in school-based or contract Special Education teaching roles preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
• Assess, track, and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Work collaboratively with general educators, paraprofessionals, and support services
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility, placement, and progress decisions
• Create structured, supportive classroom environments that foster academic and social-emotional success
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
