K-12 Special Education Teachers - Bridgeport, CT

Soliant Education is hiring onsite Special Education Teachers for multiple K-12 openings in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This education industry position is a 2026-2027 school year contract opportunity with placements available across self-contained and resource classroom settings. Openings may support students with learning disabilities, autism, social and emotional needs, and other exceptionalities.

Position Overview

These roles are a strong fit for educators who are flexible, collaborative, and committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Teachers may work in resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, or a combination of support models based on district needs and candidate experience. The position is onsite and requires consistent collaboration with school teams, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

The Special Education Teacher will provide instruction aligned with student IEPs, classroom goals, and district expectations. Responsibilities may include adapting lessons, collecting progress data, managing documentation, supporting behavior plans, and participating in IEP meetings. Teachers will also collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, administrators, and service providers to help students make meaningful progress.

Requirements

Applicants must hold appropriate Connecticut Special Education certification for the assigned grade level and classroom setting. Prior experience in K-12 special education, self-contained instruction, resource support, autism services, learning disabilities, or social-emotional programming is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite and completing an initial phone screening with a Soliant recruiter before being submitted for school district consideration.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this contract position is $35-$53 per hour, based on experience, licensure, and assignment details. Soliant Education offers weekly pay along with benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance. Eligible employees may also participate in a 401k plan.
