Special Education Teacher in Brighton, CO

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and current CDE License with Special Ed. Generalist endorsement required
• Minimum of two years’ direct classroom experience working with multi-disabled students
• Demonstrated expertise as a Special Education Teacher, especially within a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to partner effectively with colleagues and support staff
• Passion for fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

What You'll Do:

• Provide specialized instruction to an elementary caseload, maintaining a 10:1 student-to-provider ratio
• Collaborate closely with two paraeducators, as well as OT/PT, school psychologist/social worker, and SLP professionals to address each student’s unique needs
• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with multiple disabilities
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth through evidence-based strategies and compassionate guidance
• Engage in ongoing communication with families, staff, and service providers to ensure wraparound support
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
