Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and current CDE License with Special Ed. Generalist endorsement required
- Minimum of two years’ direct classroom experience working with multi-disabled students
- Demonstrated expertise as a Special Education Teacher, especially within a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to partner effectively with colleagues and support staff
- Passion for fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
What You'll Do:
- Provide specialized instruction to an elementary caseload, maintaining a 10:1 student-to-provider ratio
- Collaborate closely with two paraeducators, as well as OT/PT, school psychologist/social worker, and SLP professionals to address each student’s unique needs
- Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with multiple disabilities
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth through evidence-based strategies and compassionate guidance
- Engage in ongoing communication with families, staff, and service providers to ensure wraparound support
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
